Lesson 1 Objective
In Module 1—Lesson 1, we begin with a simple yet powerful practice: observing and noting what called you to this course. When you arrive in a new place, experience, or moment, take a pause to see what naturally draws your attention. Taking notes at the start of a journey like this is a purposeful and foundational act, one that helps you connect deeply with why you’re here.

Immerse Yourself
To begin, take a look around the course. Explore the areas that catch your attention, read a few lines, and notice where your focus naturally goes.
Make Notations
While you’re exploring, take a moment to jot down what you notice. Consider these questions to guide your reflections: What sparks your curiosity? What’s beautiful about this course so far? Which lessons are you eager to dive into? How do the rooms/modules feel to you? Are any memories or experiences being stirred?
Radical Trust
In this exercise, we’re anchoring into the concept of “Radical Trust”. This means trusting whatever arises from within you in the present moment. No overthinking—just go with the flow. The exercise should take about 10 to 15 minutes.
Flow Freely
Let your thoughts flow freely. Whether you prefer a structured note-taking style or feel like writing all over the page, follow your intuition.
When You’re Done
When you finish your journaling session, highlight, underline, or star any ideas from your notes that resonate deeply with you. Marking each key insight or "aha" moment will make it easier to revisit and retrieve these meaningful reflections later.
Journaling Stopping Point
When you feel a sense of completion, stop. Resist the urge to push beyond that moment of resolution. Declare the session finished. The goal here is to focus fully while you're engaged, and let go when it's time to move on.
The Benefits Of Intentional Note-Taking
An Excellent Tool For Self-Discovery—Intentional note-taking is the practice of mindfully recording insights, reflections, and observations with purpose and awareness. Rather than simply writing down information, intentional note-taking involves connecting deeply with what resonates, capturing thoughts that feel meaningful, and noticing personal reactions. It’s about taking notes that reflect a journaler's unique perspective, feelings, and intuitive responses to the material, creating a record that’s both personal and illuminating.

Each Benefit Explained
Each note you take serves as a breadcrumb on your journey, marking moments that resonate with you. By recording these reflections, you’re building a foundation you can return to, helping you connect more deeply with your thoughts and insights throughout the course. Here's how intentional note-taking supports and enhances the journey of self-discovery and creative expression:
Enhancing Self-Awareness
As you write, you’ll become more attuned to your inner responses, noticing what calls to you or what challenges you. This practice builds a habit of introspection, allowing you to understand your reactions more clearly and recognize emerging patterns in your thoughts.
Supporting Growth Over Time
Intentional notes provide a way to track your personal growth. By looking back at earlier reflections, you’ll be able to see how your perspective shifts, gain clarity on your evolving mindset, and witness the subtle transformations taking place as you move through your journey.
Encouraging Deeper Engagement
When you approach note-taking intentionally, you’re engaging with the course material on a profound level. You’re not just absorbing information—you’re interacting with it, questioning it, and allowing it to impact you. This makes the experience richer and more meaningful.
Providing a Personal Resource
Intentional notes become a personal resource that you can refer to beyond the course, offering insights, affirmations, and lessons that support your growth over time. They become a reference guide to your own wisdom and journey.
