101 Core Desired Feelings For 2024

Happy New Year!

The commotion has settled down, you’re feeling things out, and getting right into - yes? I sure hope all is well with you this year.

Life is not always easy. There’s so much going on around that we can’t control, but I’d like to remind you of a few things.

  • Your core (being) is always there.

  • Inspiration’s everywhere.

  • There’s more help (than ever before) available.

Core Desired Feelings are a beautiful way to help you get focused on how you would like to feel. Sometimes, all you need are gentle reminders, nudges in the right direction, and guides that help you express your vision.

So this year, I’m right back at it with the 101 list.

As always, I have to give credit to Danielle LaPorte, the visionary behind the Desire Map and Core Desired Feelings. She’s been one of my teachers (in my head) for years, and her message about desire has become even more refined over the years. You can see the evolution of her work here.

I’ve embraced the use of CDFs myself. I believe that they are beautiful guides to help you define how you would like to express yourself (and what energy you would like to embody). You may not always be able to find the right feeling words, but I’m here to help.

📍 tips for using core desired feelings (cdfs)

There’s a way to go a little deeper with these inspirational words. I believe that tuning in (sensing) is the way of the future. We’re being asked more than ever to feel into this space, to listen to our intuition, and to ground inspiration. With that said, here are some tips for getting the most out of CDFs.

  • Choose The Words That Strike A Positive Chord In You.

    • You may feel a sense of excitement or deep peace when you hear a word that your core resonates with.

  • Use The Guide Words To Help You Plan Your Day.

    • You can work the feeling words into your daily journaling or meditation practice.

    • Simply sitting with the word and feeling out how it wants to be expressed in your day is a beautiful practice.

    • Be sure to follow any intuitive hunches or inspiration you receive.

  • Use Core Desired Feelings In Your Work Or Creative Practice.

    • Before starting a creative project or a work project decide what energy you want to embody.

    • While creating your project or product - how do you want your client, reader, or customer to feel.

    • Use one of the cdfs to determine the overall feeling of the project.

  • Let Your Core Choose For You

    • Choose 10 words that resonate the most, write them down on a sheet of paper.

    • Add each word (individually) to a bowl and then pull 1 or 2 words to meditate on.

    • Next, make note of any guidance or inspiration that comes up.

    • Lastly, embody the flow + follow the inspiration.

    • You can use this method as part of your daily routine.

📍 The most important thing

What’s most important here is that this is an uplifting exercise for you.

Pay attention to the way you feel when exploring these core desired feelings.

If it doesn’t resonate, try the 2022 list. This really is here to just help guide you. We’re not doing things exactly by the book this year, because your path is different. Feel this out. Combine some of the words. Create your own list. Whatever inspires you while you’re on your unique path - do it.

It’s what you’re here for. You get to decide what’s most important to you. You get to feel into what actually helps, and then use that as inspiration to fuel your creativity. That’s the goal + as always I’m rooting for you.

Live Well & Keep Creating!
