Self-Discovery Journaling Session
Journaling is so therapeutic.
Wouldn't you agree?
At any moment, you can open the pages of your journal and let out your true feelings. You don't have to hide, you don't have to mask anything, and you can really be honest with yourself on the pages.
Journaling is also a great tool for self-discovery.
Sometimes, we get upset with ourselves for feeling the way that we do, but do we ever take the time to tune in and find out why we feel the way that we do?
Do we take the time to really listen to what our inner world is trying to tell us?
For this week, I want to encourage you to participate in a self-discovery journaling session.
For this session, you'll be tuning into the seat of your intuition ~ YOUR GUT.
What You'll Need
- A Journal or Notebook
- A Pen
- Markers, Color Pencils, Crayons, or Paint
- A Drawing Pad or Piece Of Paper
Instructions
#1. Close your eyes and tune into the seat of your intuition (your gut/stomach space). Just take a moment to feel into that space and visualize what the internal landscape of that space looks like. Get a sense of what's there for you.
#2. Start journaling about what you feel there. There's no right or wrong way to do it. Just begin to write down what you feel is coming from the seat of your intuition.
What message does that space have for you? Are you listening to your intuition or denying it? Use some words to describe what that inner space looks and feels like to you.
#3. Once you're done journaling. Draw a picture of it. What do you see there? Is the seat of your intuition flourishing or neglected? Is it blossoming or does it need some tending? Use your art tools to really bring this picture to life.
There's no right or wrong way to do it ~ just tune in and draw what you see and feel.
You don't have to be an artist. Just do the best rendition of the space that you can visualize and create.
This is a self-discovery session.
So that means, you don't have to share the information you receive with anyone (unless you want to).
This exercise is so that you can connect to your intuition more. It's being offered to you so that you can take a look at your inner intuitive landscape and see if there's anything that needs to be changed.
Take the time to tune into this space, hear what it has to say, and do your best to follow the guidance that it gives you.
All the wisdom that you need is inside of you.
I hope this exercise encourages you to tune into your intuition, give it a voice, and honor it the best way that you know how.
Live Well & Keep Creating!
