How To Start What You've Finished - 5 Tip Quick Guide + Inspiration
:::::::
You read the title right. It’s “How To Start What You’ve Finished”.
We so often talk about finishing what we start, but we fail to address the resistance in actually starting the dream. So today, I’m going to give you 5 quick tips to help you "start what you've finished". Before I do that, I want to explain what the heck I’m even talking about.
The “finished” part is “your dream”.
Your dream, in some form, has already been created, completed, and it’s done. That’s how you even get a vision.
Some part of you, has already worked out the details (and essence) of that dream. It then sends you a signal of that dream in the form of a vision or a goal. So why (if your inner being is so sure you’re the one to bring it to life), is it so hard to start it?
The answer to that is simple.
I believe that sometimes our brains and our bodies want what’s familiar. Our brains and our bodies sometimes can’t stand the unknown. We’re afraid of failing, or messing it up, or not getting it right. So we tuck it away or make up a million reasons why we can’t start it.
We can’t wrap our minds around the fact that our vision, is just a projection of something we already are, and it’s spun into a vision of what would be pleasing for us to experience.
You already are that ~

That Multi-Media Artist
That Multi-Million Dollar Personality (in essence).
Your inner being is taking your best qualities + combining them with things you like ~ to offer you something to align with or move towards.
That’s it.
So I’m here to encourage you. If it interests you or it keeps you up at night, it’s worth starting. Start from right where you are and feel into that dream of yours. The quick tips (to get you started today) are below. In addition to the tips below, I want to also offer you a guide where I walk you through each step it takes to bring that creative idea to life.
Here Are 5 Quick Tips For How To Start What You’ve FInished
1.Make It Visible
(Get that idea out of your head and down on paper.)
Create a vision board or hang a picture of your finished goal or dream. Visual cues can help remind you of what you’re moving towards. Surround yourself with positive visual images that remind you of the goal you’re moving towards.
The visual cues can make it easier to start moving towards that goal (day after day).
2. Make A Move Already
(I say that with love. Get your hands moving already.)
That’s literally what I have to tell myself some days (being a writer and an artist). You know who you are, you know what you like, and the resistance will show up some days. That’s okay - re-center yourself, and then get moving.
Shake out the jitters and build up your confidence by taking consistent small steps (despite the nervousness).
3. Create A Reason
(What’s the reason for doing what you’re doing?)
Maybe you want to prove it to yourself. Maybe you want to show your little one how it’s done. Maybe you want it just for the joy. I feel you! It doesn’t matter what the reason is; it just has to mean something to you. If you don’t have a reason for your goal, create one.
If it’s a priority and important to you, that makes it so much easier to start.
4. Make It A Priority
(Your dream needs to be moved to the top of your to-do list.)
I know that’s easier said than done. If you can’t move it to the very top, then it at least has to be on the agenda. Your vision belongs on the list ~ just as much as any other thing that’s on there. Carve out time for your creations ~ just like you would for your work/family life.
Bump it up on the list.
5. Consider It Done
(Release the pressure some. It’s literally - already done in essence.)
Your inner being just takes your best qualities + combines them with what you’d like to experience ~ to send you a dream or a vision. Your dream is just the best of YOU (living something you would like to experience). You already are, all of what you see in your vision. Now focus there and move towards it.
As you show an interest, your best qualities will spring forward to support the vision. Feel into it, and then let Life guide you towards the next right steps to take.
